Miniport reset led to a driver hang when occurred during driver disabling, or to a system crash when occurred during driver shutdown. The following issues have been resolved in version 5.22: Fixed an issue that caused the perftuning.exe tool cease to function in case of Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, when running a dual-port configuration. Download the drivers from the computer manufacture's website for Windows 10, if not available. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

Important:

Known Issues:
Flex10 min-max bandwidth is currently not functional

  • Workaround: N/A

Flex10 dynamic network assignment is currently not functional

  • Workaround: N/A

Massive packet drops in RoCE may cause low performance in lossy fabrics

  • Workaround: N/A

Changing memory BAR size /addresses between SYS_DIS and SYS_EN may cause the device to hang

  • Workaround: N/A

On ConnectX-2 Ethernet adapter cards, there is a mismatch between the GUID value returned by firmware management tools and that returned by fabric/driver utilities that read the GUID via device firmware (e.g., using ibstat). mlxburn/flint return 0xffff as GUID while the driver utilities return a value derived from the MAC address. For all driver/firmware/software purposes, the value returned from the driver fabric/utilities should be used.

  • Workaround: Use the GUID value returned by the fabric/driver utilities

Changing BAR size when a system is enabled may cause the device to hang

  • Workaround: N/A

In ethernet mode of operation if all capabilities are not queried upon boot, the query command may fail. See the QUERY_CAP command in ConnectX Programmer'sReference Manual

  • Workaround: Query all capabilities upon boot

Upgrade Requirement:
Recommended - HP recommends users update to this version at their earliest convenience.

The following issue has been resolved in version 2.9.1710

  • Link interoperability issues causing receive errors.

New Features and Changes in Version 2.9.1710:

  • Increased UAR BAR size from 8MB to 32MB in the INI

Version:2.9.1532 (25 Mar 2014)

Upgrade Requirement:
Recommended - HP recommends users update to this version at their earliest convenience.

Fixes in 2.9.1532

  • The SL390sG7 NC543i LOM is not present in lspci occasionally after a reboot due to a timing issue. This is corrected by increasing the Receiver_detect_time parameter in receiver detection code from 0x50 to 0x1E.

None

Version:2.9.1530 (23 Jan 2014)

Upgrade Requirement:
Recommended - HP recommends users update to this version at their earliest convenience.

Fixes in 2.9.1530

  • Specific types of valid TCP fragments were dropped by the ConnectX-2 device
  • Timeouts on devices in the cluster hung due to QP timer corruption when thousands of QPs are open and reach retransmission state
  • A non-optimal value for 'PCIe_receiver_detect' resulted in the device not identifying itself on the PCIe BAR

Enhancements in firmware version 2.9.1530

  • Increased UAR BAR size from 8MB to 32MB in the INI

Version:2.9.1000 (17 Jan 2012)

Recommended - HP recommends users update to this version at their earliest convenience.

Version 2.9.1000 Fixes following issues:

  • Issues with the IPoIB checksum offload.
  • PCIe Select de-emphasis was not functional in a specific environment (ID 85719).
  • The wrong event type was displayed in the thermal warning event for drivers that did not support the event.
  • Wrong UAR mapping in pages larger than 4K:
    • MSI-X and Blueflame did not work on UAR pages larger than 4K.
  • Mellanox adapters card MHGH29B, may enter a false thermal shutdown state upon driver unload.
  • 40GbE Link may not be established after driver restart.
  • Congestion Notification Packet may cause HCA to stall under extreme conditions.
  • Enforced correct IP identification field in transmitted IPoIB/EoIB packets.
  • Advanced Error Reporting fixes (ID 100570).
  • Performance improvement for single port cards (ID 106144).
  • When in unsolicited mode a completion message is not sent on every completion.
  • QUERY_IF_STAT - Fixed clear number of packets (ID 101245).
  • RDMA read message rate improvement (ID 97406).
  • If no EEPROM is present in the module/cable or if the identifier field in EEPROM is not set correctly, the link raises only 10G XFI (ID 102651).
  • Tx rate limiting functionality.
  • PCIe compatibility issue with a specific PCIe root complex.
  • Possible failure to link up in 1GigE with several 1GigE devices.
  • PCI express compliancy: The ConnectX-2 PCIe transmitter may stop transmitting for a short period during software reset.
